Thanks for checking out my blog. My name is George Ross and my family and I serve with the North American Mission Board as the SEND City Missionaries in the great city of New Orleans.
For 9 years I was privileged to plant and pastor a multiplying church. During this time I have experienced first hand what God can do when we are willing to advance His Kingdom through planting churches, making disciples, and sending out missionaries. I am prayerful my background in planting and directing a church planting network will be an asset to planters already here and those who have yet come. The church at Antioch in Acts 13 reminds us that there is no greater kingdom testimony than intentionally participating in church planting. Through the faithfulness of one church and a few individuals the Gospel was rapidly advanced, people redeemed, and culture was impacted.
My family is part of my ministry, and our motto is "We are a Kingdom family". Joy is my beautiful wife of 15 years, we have 4 children: Isaac, Hannah Ruth, Abigail, and Jeremiah. We are devoted to family and raising our children in the nurture and instruction of the LORD. We speak and lead conferences on Parenting, Marriage, and Living a Gospel Centered Life.
I am a graduate of Crichton College in Memphis, Tennessee and received my Master of Divinity in Evangelism and Church Planting from Liberty Theological Seminary. Currently, I am working on a Doctor of Ministry at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in Spiritual Formations.
Leading mission and educational trips have been a passion. Over the last 15 years I have lead 10 educational trips to Israel, and participated in mission work in Honduras, Canada, Africa, and India. I am passionate about testifying to God’s grace, and look forward to expanding the Kingdom as the New Orleans’ Send City Missionary.
